What the sources say
Hans Kasper (John Kasper) Loosli (1831–1901), born at Dürrenroth, Bern, Switzerland, who married Anna Elisabeth Hunsperger, the roll’s Anne Elizabeth Loasle, in 1857 and came to Utah in the James Darling Ross Company of 1860 (Church History Biographical Database; FamilySearch KWNF-BGT). Held to bail after the siege as “J. G. Lousley” (Deseret News, June 25, 1862). Family Tree records later marriages in Utah from 1881, one of them in the Endowment House in 1882, which suggests he returned to the Latter-day Saints; he died at Clarkston, Cache County, in 1901.
