The people on the roll
Who joined Joseph Morris? This page counts what can be said of the 430 people on the 1861–62 roll of membership. Some figures cover everyone on the roll, judged from their names. The rest come from the people identified so far in FamilySearch Family Tree, and hold only for them.
The roll is not a full list of members. Its compiler wrote that “many persons baptized” were never recorded. Corrections and new identifications are welcome at contact@morrisite.org.

In the 1860 census
91 people on the roll have been found in the United States census of Utah Territory, taken June–September 1860, the year before Morris began baptizing at South Weber (72 of them among those linked to Family Tree). The census gives each adult’s occupation and the value of the real estate and personal property they owned. Figures were read from the page images on FamilySearch; the index there does not include them. People who reached Utah after the census, such as the Forscutts and the Swiss families, are not in it.
Where they lived in 1860
People on the roll, counted in the household where they were enumerated. South Weber, where Kington Fort was built, lies in Davis County and was then served by the Kaysville post office; Richard Cook, its bishop, is enumerated there, so most of the Davis County households were probably at or near South Weber.
